Social Media Marketing Vs Influencer Marketing.

Every marketing channel a business chooses to grow into is definitely driven by certain objective's; create brand awareness, customer acquisition, customer retention. However to be able to achieve all this there has to be content readily available for your client/customer otherwise how will you keep people on your platforms engaged.

Social Media Marketing is solely built on the content you create and your ability to engage with your existing and potential client(s).  Most reliable channel I would recommend to startups because once you've got content and make posts consistently you are making it easier for people who would be interested in your brand to find you. Put in mind that as you post inlude keywords that a potential client would use to find your product/service. It will be of great value to build up content that sets a position for you on organic search rather than using Pay Per Click (PPC) where you pay to be on that position i.e. Google AdWords and once you can't manage to pay for it no more your business information falls on page 2 or another page on google search results.

Influencer marketing on the other hand is similar to word of mouth, it could be defined as  placing focus on people who already have influence over potential buyers rather than focusing on your target market. This for one I consider a gamble because ideally a business designs its model to fit a particular niche whom may not be necessarily be affiliated to the said influencer. On the plus side someone who has an existing audience its easier to build up on issues such as trust, credibility etc. cause people already feel that they can trust the influncer.

In the end whichever mode of marketing you choose to build on remember to Always measure your Return On Investment (ROI), otherwise you will be spending so much getting the word out but it doesn't result into actual income.

NB: Am not discouraging use of Google Adwords its also an amazing platform to build into but in the beginning when your budget is fixed  do what you have that doesn't entail use of money. #content
