It's been months since the onset of COVID19. Adjusting to mean you view your brands Messaging & Content from a customer's point of view by answering;
  • Would a customer be interested in purchasing this at the moment?
  • What is the customer's financial position?
  • Would our messaging come across as a sale message or a source of inspiration?
  • How would the messaging & current situation affect the 'Internal Customer'?

To continue on the journey of building your brand on Social Media in the New Normal, let's consider the following;

1. A Change in Messaging

One thing is for sure being salesy currently doesn't cut it. A primary rule that's here to stay is the use of EMPATHY. Everyone's emotions are at a high piled up with moments of uncertainty empathy will definitely go a long way in proving a brand is Humane. Other aspects you can incorporate is being Thoughtful & Sincere as we've all been affected by the pandemic.

2. Shift Goal if Necessary

Two goals that can stand out right now are Brand Awareness & Increased Engagement. I know it doesn't have monetary value however through the two more people are aware of your brand & there's more conversation about your brand. Through the Conversations, you can take note of prospects who can turn into leads for your business through nurturing them. Keep in mind not to seem like a sale is your end goal but tuning your conversation such that the consumer realizes they have a need.

Leveraging Social Media today is super important. It brings anyone up to a level playing field where they can communicate directly to their consumer's & fans. Launching a new product or service? As a business owner, you can use your social media to get the word out directly to your customers the way YOU want. Have a change in your business? Social Media lets you communicate quickly without relying on someone else to get the word out. Not leveraging social media is a mistake.

5. Analyze Results

As you put out different formats of content you need to take note of what's working to keep producing more of it & also engage with your audience now that there is a change in average time spent & what actual time they are online.
