Whether you have an In-house team or you Outsource your Digital Marketing service it is of value to be able to manage all platforms under one app. Different apps offer different value proportions overall you get to plan and schedule content, view analytics of all the social media platforms you manage as opposed to posting on the platform on a particular day at a specific time. Some apps you can consider;

Agorapulse - It offers 28 days free trial period & has 4 package options; medium, large, x-large & enterprise. The medium package limits you to 10 social profiles while the enterprise profile limits you to 60 social profiles.

Hootsuite - It has 30 free day trial period with 4 package options; professional, team, business & enterprise. The professional package limits you to 10 social profiles while business limits you 35 social profiles.

Content calendar's are a life save for every individual/team managing a social media platform as it ensures their content funnel never runs dry as it is constantly up-to-date. A Google Spreadsheet is an ideal tool to plan all necessary content.

Scheduling Tools

It is a blessings that one can schedule content natively through most social media platforms with the exemption of LinkedIn. The aim of scheduling is to create more time to engage with your audience & leave room to create & research more content. Scheduling tools you can consider are as mentioned above. An addition;

Facebook & Instagram Creator studio- for Facebook & Instagram.

Tweet Deck- for Twitter

Analytics Tools

Analytics means taking time to examine what has worked based on a certain duration of time taking note of necessary adjustments that need to be made. It is important to check your analytics for both your website & social media constantly to make informed decisions. Read more here.

My favorite tool of choice is Google Analytics. Social Media platforms have inbuilt insight feature alternatively if you are using one of the scheduling tools as mentioned above it will also provide analytics for the platforms it is linked to.

Listening Tools

Through this tool you should be able to discover;

  1. What are your customer's or prospects saying about you?
  2. What keywords are consumers using to identify businesses similar to yours?
  3. Are there new updates in your industry?
  4. Are there new ways to improve service delivery & the products you offer?

Listening lets you stay aware and ahead of any issues that could be looming. Some pointers to guide you;

  1. Set up google alerts for your business name & keywords in your industry to get notifications that let you stay up-to-date.
  2. Carry out keyword research every quarter or after six months. It can be a great source for new ideas. Read more here.
  3. Using a specific hashtag to be able to track the ongoing conversations. A great tool for this is SocialAlert.

Social Media Marketing Vs Influencer Marketing.

Every marketing channel a business chooses to grow into is definitely driven by certain objective's; create brand awareness, customer acquisition, customer retention. However to be able to achieve all this there has to be content readily available for your client/customer otherwise how will you keep people on your platforms engaged.   Social Media Marketing is solely built on the content you create and your ability to engage with your existing and potential client(s).  Most reliable channel I would recommend to startups because once you've got content and make posts consistently you are making it easier for people who would be interested in your brand to find you. Put in mind that as you post inlude keywords that a potential client would use to find your product/service. It will be of great value to build up content that sets a position for you on organic search rather than using Pay Per Click (PPC) where you pay to be on that position i.e. Google AdWords and once you ...
